Touchscreen Upgrade/Option

Novaseal uses Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for all pulse-type heat sealers.  The high speed switching nature of a digital controller provides better heat sealing results as compared to analog controls.  Additional benefits include high reliability and less maintenance associated with electronics and machine control.

All machines include our standard PLC along with a pushbutton interface unit (HMI).  Pushbutton interface unit is shown on this page to the left.  For a slight additional cost, you can upgrade the interface unit from pushbutton to touchscreen.  In addition to being able to see the touchscreen better (without reading glasses), the touchscreen user interface also features 10+ stored parameters/recipes.  Additional stored parameters/recipes available for additional fee.  Stored information provides an opportunity for an operator to store sealing information for groups of similar or different materials ... less opportunity for mistakes or operator input error. 

Pushbutton interface can only store one heat sealing recipe (set of instructions); and is an excellent choice for a fabricator/manufacturer using our machines for one or two different materials.  Machine operator can change sealing times by simply entering new values via pushbutton entry. 

On the other hand, if you are a shade manufacturer or other fabricator and need to seal a wide range of materials, then the touchscreen interface unit is a better choice.  Slightly bigger and with a screen you can view without reading glasses, the touchscreen interface is also easier to use and easier to enter data.
