“When comparing Novaseal Pulse Sealing with hot air sealing methods, Pulse Sealing is by far the best and most reliable. Reasons include:

  • Hot air lacks adequate control in circuits regulating current to the heating element(s).
  • The upper and lower control limits in hot air systems exceed allowable sealing temperature of the material, so the element temp either overshoots or falls below the ideal sealing temp. As a result, the seal can begin with perfect sealing temperature, however as the controller cycles, the temperature will go both above and below the ideal range, so one will have a perfect seal, an insufficient seal, and a burn, all on the same run. Maddening.


    • Since Pulse Sealing heats the entire wire at once and the pulsewidth is modulated, the result is perfect seals with no burn.     Novaseal PulseSealer is also available in the configuration of an L-shaped Pulse Sealer (L-Pulse Sealer). With this configuration, you would have two PulseSealers joined at the center. It is basically half of a QUAD and designed for manual or semi-automatic operation. It is a lower cost option to apply finishing seals on 10 x 22 up to 14 x 48 posters. An L-Pulse Sealer can also be configured with MultiHead, Automatic PocketMaker and most of the features listed above. Movable sealing head is also an option which permits continuous seals similar to a QUADG2 feature.
