For decades, EME Company has relied on Novaseal® custom heat sealing equipment to help manufacture millions of medical and personal-use pouches each year.
What began with one specialized sealing requirement grew from a standalone machine into multiple Novaseal systems integrated into automated production.

The Starting Point
When interviewed in 2022, Leonard Carmouche, President of EME Company, recalled approaching Nova Products more than 25 years earlier while looking for a way to thermally combine polyethylene and polyester.
Novaseal developed a custom heat sealing solution around the application. EME began with a standalone machine that produced the specialized seal required for its manufacturing process.

Production Growth
As EME's business grew, so did its need for greater production capacity and automation.
Additional Novaseal machines were purchased and ultimately integrated into an automated production line, where material moves through successive manufacturing operations before final inspection and preparation for shipment.
Carmouche reported that the Novaseal equipment could readily keep pace with production and was capable of operating faster than the overall line could accommodate.
Long-Term Production
For high-volume manufacturing, EME valued more than production speed. Carmouche cited the repeatability of the sealing process and the ease of training people to use the equipment.

EME reported being able to perform its own service using the training and information supplied with the equipment.
At the time of the interview, EME's original Novaseal machine had been producing good results for approximately 25 years.
