Infinite throat design for oversized materials, extended seam production, and environments where fixed-throat machines create handling constraints.
The Gantry System suspends the Packet Welding sealing head on an overhead framework, eliminating fixed throat depth constraints. The result is a system that accommodates oversized materials, large-format seams, and production environments where fixed-throat machines create handling constraints — without compromising sealing performance or cycle time.
Three distinct material handling approaches:
Move materials into the sealing head while the machine remains stationary
Move the sealing head into the material while the material stays in place
Combine both approaches for maximum handling flexibility
The Gantry System supports long-length overlap seals, butt seals, zipper seals, Keder seals, and more — with the same Packet Welding performance across bar lengths from 40 inches and above.
Packet Welding controls the rate of heat absorption into the material — delivering energy in precise, repeatable packets rather than applying continuous heat. The result is stronger, more consistent seals across a broader range of materials — in less time than any comparable sealing method. Every Novaseal® system is engineered to deliver that capability to your welding process.
Typical cycle times in the 8–12 second range — regardless of bar length.
Specific cycle time depends on material type and power configuration (WPI).
The Gantry System supports a range of production-level options that can be specified at the time of order or added later.
Every Novaseal® Gantry System begins with the Gantry platform and is configured around the customer’s material size, seam requirements, production workflow, and material-handling needs. The systems shown below are examples of machines we have previously engineered or illustrations of what is possible. They are not predetermined configurations from which you need to choose. Tell us how your material needs to move, how the Packet Welder should operate, and what level of automation is required, and we engineer the Gantry System accordingly. This application-specific engineering typically adds little or no cost to the machine.

One of the earliest Gantry-type production systems, engineered to heat seal three rolls of 60-inch-wide vinyl material in an accordion arrangement. One heat sealer operated from each side to complete both seals simultaneously, with finished material collected in a floor stack.
