Built for Continuous Production

The Standard Production System is a floor-mounted Packet Welding™ platform built for continuous production workflows requiring extended seam lengths and robust output capability. Available in bar lengths from 126 inches to 30 feet, it is configurable to your seam length, material, and automation requirements — and carries the 5-year warranty and NovaCARE™ support provided with Novaseal® Packet Welding systems.

The Standard system provides a stable, floor-mounted foundation for high-output sealing environments. Its frame and throat design accommodate a wide range of bar lengths and material handling configurations, allowing the system to fit into existing workflows or anchor new production lines.

The Technology Inside

Powered by Packet Welding™

Packet Welding controls the rate of heat absorption into the material — delivering energy in precise, repeatable packets rather than applying continuous heat. The result is stronger, more consistent seals across a broader range of materials — in less time than any comparable sealing method. Every Novaseal® system is engineered to deliver that capability to your welding process.

Typical cycle times in the 8–12 second range — regardless of bar length.

Specific cycle time depends on material type and power configuration (WPI).

Configurable to Your Application

The Standard system supports a range of production-level options that can be specified at the time of order or added later.

Automatic PocketMaker Automated pocket formation for hem bar insertion and similar applications.
Zipper Attachment Integrated zipper welding without a separate machine or fixture change.
Roll Splicing Continuous material feed without halting production for roll changes.
Robotic Handling Automation integration for higher-throughput or lights-out environments.

Examples of Customer-Specific Systems

Every Novaseal® Standard system begins with the Standard platform and is configured around the customer’s application, materials, production requirements, and workflow. The systems shown below are examples of machines we have previously engineered or illustrations of what is possible. They are not predetermined configurations from which you need to choose. Tell us what you need the machine to do, and we configure the sealing length, power, controls, tooling, material handling, automation, and application-specific features accordingly. This application-specific engineering typically adds little or no cost to the machine.

Example A

Standard system with controls mounted on an articulated arm positioned to the left of the machine. The lower section is fully panelled, providing a clean, enclosed appearance.

Example B

Standard system incorporating a front cradle for rolled goods and laser alignment to assist with precise positioning of material for overlap sealing.

Example C

Pneumatically actuated front flange clamp engineered to provide secure and reliable material stabilization during operation.

Example D

168-inch Standard system engineered for roller-shade production, combining overlap sealing with automated pocket formation for hem bar insertion. The lower section remains open for convenient storage and material access.

Example E

294-inch Standard system engineered for awning production, with sealing operations performed at variable programmed intervals. The system also accommodates Keder formation and sealing.

Example F

Application-specific system engineered for variable-height products, with automated transition between overlap sealing and dual-side sealing of foam-board assemblies.

Example G

21-foot Standard system mounted on a track, allowing material to move on conveyor rollers into the machine. Engineered for restaurant-awning production with as many as four independent seals applied as required.

Example H

Alternate view of the variable-height production system shown in System Example F. Machine controls are mounted on a separate pedestal positioned several feet from the equipment to support automated operation.

Example Q

Four-machine production system consisting of two 294-inch and two 133-inch Standard systems arranged for automated billboard and poster production. Automatic pocketing enabled a complete billboard or poster to be heat sealed in one pass, at production rates of up to three completed pieces per minute.
